a weird little personal fic tradition I've latched onto is that I mentally assign a different josh ritter song to each finished fic I write. the giant 95k WIP that haunts me has never had one, but "wild ways" came out today and feels exactly right

work procrastination this week is definitely driving me to my drafts as well

I think this came from @starksfelling.bsky.social but “some words are better than no words” always helps me feel better about incremental progress!

also, tbh, maybe I needed to age seven years in order to write what this fic became. sometimes different life experiences allow you to write something differently and there’s a beauty in that too! anyway, even if no one reads it, I’m proud of finishing something after so long.

I don’t think the bachelor au needs a proper sequel, but the “5 conversations anthony has after edmund is born” fic is set in that universe and I’d like to finish that someday, just to add a little postscript to their happy ending! and the siena/edwina and eloise/phil fics in that universe
