The fact that hegseth, despite the security risks, called in every flag officer to hear โ€” in person โ€” that this result is now official military policyโ€ฆ

My insides are melting.

I can only say, at the very least, what a waste of talent. What a way to spit in the face of people who wanted to serve. What a dumbass tradeoff for the military.

Iโ€™m probably the dummy of the group - most of us transferred to Ivies and went on to have successful careers despite it all. We were all at the very top of our class.

Hegseth would likely say this was an ideal result. Why punish men for โ€œearnest mistakesโ€ for the sake of weak, feminine soldiers.

I donโ€™t talk about this publicly, but hegseth drives me out of my silence.

I attended West Point from 1998-2000. I left, along with about 5 other young women, as a direct result of the militaryโ€™s then-shameful (non) policies addressing sex harassment and assault.

It certainly appears the United States murdered an innocent fisherman who was a husband and father to four children, claimed he was a "narco-terrorist," posted a video of the execution, and then made jokes about it

A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.

Where did those markets go, though? Are they hiding under the bed? Did they run away for a shot gun wedding in Vegas?

Canโ€™t even laugh at this. The idea of these meatheads skulking around my beautiful, glittering jewel box of a city, looking to tackle every non-white person they see, makes me sick to my stomach. This is the real domestic terrorism.

Donโ€™t worry, the actual academics doing the research wonโ€™t starve because the paywalled academic journals donโ€™t actually pay them.

Their universities do. Their research grants do. But Wiley, Elsevier, Sage? Not a dime.

I hope weโ€™re not in a world where the only conceivable democracy is populist democracy. Itโ€™s not great for plural, inclusive, diverse democracies.

I feel like they have a lack of identity and a lack of leadership. I feel like the Republican Party does have a better icon, in Donald Trump, with the ideology and the idealism behind him. You know what he stands for. With the Democratic Partyโ€™s, they donโ€™t have that leader. I feel like the last person to really have that role was like Obama. Currently, right now, aside from A.O.C. and Bernie, I really donโ€™t see anybody even who has a major exposure or brand behind the Democratic Party. Their vision of the future seems very negative to a lot of people. And I like them, I personally like them. Iโ€™m independent. I actually think they have a lot of great points. But theyโ€™re negatively viewed. The party has a lack of leadership.

A โ€œweaknessโ€ of the democrats, per this voter, is that they *donโ€™t* have a demagogue:
