I just wish it wasn’t bogged down by this haughty propaganda. Propaganda is everywhere and you are not immune to it, but this was a LOT.

Like the Titanic stuff was heavy and cool, and the vast amount of First Nations representation was amazing and thought-provoking. There was more stuff there on First Nations culture than I’d seen in any one place for a long time. I learned a LOT about Quebec civilisations.

Also what is this intercultural thing? What I was reading said that they want cultures to exist in plurality without any blending, that “multiculturalism” is a broader Canadian practice that they don’t want in Quebec???

And why is constant attention brought to how “Canada” or the English colonists treated the First Nations but vague nonspecifics and hand wavy stuff for how Quebec did? Further, why was there only coverage of the things English-allied First Nations did to French but not the other way around?

To be clear, French discrimination was absolutely a thing. But it’s not even remotely on the scale of the horrors we put First Nations people through. Get the fuck over yourselves.
