People desperately want a solution to high housing prices that does not require building new homes in their neighborhoods. No such solution exists. If we want lower rents and home prices, we need to build more homes in the places people want to live. Anyone who says otherwise is bullshitting you.

This is perfectly fine news. It does not change the situation that some people idly realized (and will in many cases stop thinking about) which is a galaxy of unique information, conversations and archives are locked into a proprietary conversation system run by a VC-backed company seeking profit.

There are only 2 real responses to housing scarcity. You can either build enough homes to accommodate everyone or start drawing up a list of “undesirable demographics” to exclude. I know which side I’m on.

API only accepts normal quote marks ("") for full phrase search. The ios app should convert the iphone “smart quotes” (<-example) to these when typed in the search box.
