Also wanted to surface the disciplines we teach, if that helps: Poetry, Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, Writing for Children & Young Adults, Playwriting, and Screenwriting.

I really can't say enough good things about our students and my colleagues on faculty. Also, our alums are active and stay connected to the program and to each other. Part of that is the strength of our team! So we need someone who can match that dedication to art, craft, scholarship, and community.

It is SO RARE for a role like this to come open. As in, we are celebrating our 25th year this year and you will be only the third person to have this job. (The first went on to become the chair after our founding chair retired.)

Louisville is a ridiculously livable city, and the campus is located conveniently adjacent to a very haunted Victorian neighborhood serviced by non-haunted (can I be sure?) public transportation.

I am but a p/t faculty member (all faculty except positions like the above which combine administration with/teaching are) but I've been associated with the program for years and am happy to answer any questions and also hype us up because we are fabulous colleagues. Position is open b/c retirement.
