Donald Trump’s EU oil and gas deal is ‘pie in the sky’, energy experts warn
Analysts dismiss plan but executives welcome sign of more support for fossil fuel exports
Brussels’ vow to buy $750bn of American energy as part of a new US-EU trade deal will be impossible to meet, experts have warned. They are puzzled by a target that would involve decisions by shareholder-owned companies in a continent also trying to decarbonise its economy🤷♀️

As I speculated yesterday, Sefco suggests this was about more than just trade - Ukraine a key part
"It's not only about trade, it's about security. It's about Ukraine, about current geopolitical volatility. I can't go into details, but I can assure it was not only about trade"

I love the train, I much prefer it to the plane and I think we should invest much more in cross border rail and the people working on the trains. But @deutschebahn.com just continuously makes it hard to travel by train. Especially with a small child. Please do better.

There was no public information on the 613 besides the length of the delay of the train. Nothing about how they would manage the connections and onward journeys. Now I bought a ticket from BXL to Paris cause the ticket office in BXL will be closed once we get there.

They also said they'd informed the next trains. So we didn't get a piece of paper since we were specifically told we didn't need one. Now on the train to BXL the conductor was nice enough to let us continue our journey without this paper, but he told us the paper was needed.

Once we got on the train towards Brussels, the conductor told us that we needed a piece of paper from the information office in Cologne. I'm travelling with a baby and large bags - and the personnel on 613 specifically told us we didn't need any paper, no new tickets (rant cont).

I got on the 613 train to Cologne today, on my way back from Copenhagen to Denmark. The train had a delay of roughly 80 minutes in Cologne, meaning we'd miss our connection towards Paris. The personnel told us just to get on a train to Brussels and then to Paris. But...

Franske budgetplaner er rendyrket sparepolitik – to feriedage står for skud
🇫🇷 budgetplaner er rendyrket sparepolitik for første gang siden 1983 – to feriedage står for skud, samlet vil man skære godt 330 milliarder kroner.
