greta is our reminder to hold on to our sense of what is right & act accordingly despite all odds.

This weekend, I went to a talk on what true nonviolence can accomplish— about how using your voice while refusing to stoop to their level come what may has changed the trajectory of nations.

It’s for exactly this ⬇️ reason. It makes totally plain who the enemy is no matter the propaganda.

My weird little nerd

An 85-year-old lady in my congregation told me today, "I've never met anyone quite like you...so never stop being unique," and honestly, that's one of the most sincere compliments I've ever received.

Do flexibility exercises each and every day, eat plenty of whole grains and vegetables, and drink lots of water.

It will always baffle me how easily people will believe that the poor, the sick, the marginalized, and the immigrant are the cause for all their problems, rather than the people in the most powerful positions in their country who refuse to fix problems and exploit them instead.

I seriously think shutting down football would cause more outrage in the U.S. than shutting down the government.

Also...gently chuckle at them.

It’s a shame that the September jobs report has been canceled. I’m sure it would have shown us how everything is going perfectly.

Pacifism is part of my core beliefs but I'll always defend democracy and honor in ways that don't involve acts of violence.

Even Emperor Palpatine didn't make Darth Vader & all the generals & admirals in the Empire meet at the Death Star on a random Tuesday at 0900 for a pep rally.

I think about this quote a lot these days. If we are to have a peaceful, stable path forward, it starts with relearning the art of nonviolent civil discourse.
