For a while now I've been sitting with the thought that the average person often misconstrues what Ai's capability is. This might be a simple way of dispelling some of that. An AI does not "know", it "references".

I think I've settled on some verbiage for myself. Ai has "gathered" the summary, it does not "think".

In Japan, their trains will flip between the three (or four?) top languages. I would love to see that in Chicago, and I'd love if one of them were you!

A personal story but to get the copyright sign off on the Lincoln Center in Marvel's Spider-Man 1, we had to create very specific lush grass on the roof of one building that we only used there. Probably occupied a 10 meter space

Clues in hindsight this makes a lot of sense:

- I like helping people
- The unknown is an opportunity to find out. Pretending to know is not my style
- I had a spreadsheet of everything I applied to, including cool google sheets tech I looked up specifically to make it user friendly to me

Me: *17 and makes videogame music videos, also applying to colleges*
Mom: "Heather, people make videogames as a job. You could do that?"

Me:*26 and applying to over 200 environment artist jobs* "technical artist? Let's give it a whirl. Why not"

A much needed break

Somewhat recently someone wanting to be a Technical Artist asked me if it was a job AI would replace.

Ai is impacting many fields, and as a society we are still figuring out what it means for all of us.

That being said, AI also cannot replace a technical artist. It is a fool's errand.

I don't know who needs a more technical person to say this,
But AI fundamentally cannot replace human creativity. Breathe easy, friends.
