Yeah I feel the whole "there's seven force ghosts getting the spotlight" thing really detracted from the message when 80% of the class didn't do shit for most of the manga.

I think the issue lies in how we don't have the root cause of why Yoshida chains himself. Reze was raised as a weapon, Denji has his trauma, Miri traded leashes under the guise of freedom.

But yes being quirky and funny help, if Nobana was half as funny as his sister he wouldn't have gotten replaced by Fami.

Hope it means Asa's mom represents her guilt and it isn't just a repeat of Denji's arc. We didn't wait 100 chapters for the exact same twist.
