This view resonates deeply with me:

⬛ Publish fewer claims and more proof

Papers need to include fewer claims and more proof to make the scientific literature more reliable

What is driving today’s β€˜claims inflation’?

Does anyone know of good conformation prediction software for PTMd peptides? There’s lots of good resources for unmodified peptides but many do not include PTMs, or extremely limited. Specifically interested in glycosylation.

Read an interesting paper on how vWF sialylation essentially increases its half-life by preventing lectin-mediated clearance from the blood stream. I wonder if there’s other examples of glycosides acting as time-gated PTMs to proteins, where β€œrare” glycosides = longer half-life. #glycotime

If u ever had to depict proteins as schematics in papers, u know the dilemma: how to create a pretty β€œblob”?
If structure ends up big & central, u’ll render it with PyMol et al, but for a truly schematic depiction u want a biorender-style icon, but for YOUR protein.
Think I’ve finally found a way.
