Such a weird moment when you see something related to you in a museum. First time it happened to me was at the Beaulieu Motor Museum with a mate and they had a bus that we'd travelled to school together on.

Interesting. I used to report to Sussex a lot via their Op Crackdown but haven't bothered lately - probably because I never hear anything back, since you've mentioned it.

I met him once, not knowing anything about him at the time, and he managed to say something during the course of a pint that really put me off him. This stuff does really matter.

"I had to leave 10 minutes early to avoid a parking ticket and missing the end didn’t bother me."

Why have you asked this person their opinion of a film that they deliberately planned to miss the end of? Why on earth would anyone do that?

I don't know... Jordon Brompton is rightly proud of the amount of decent jobs MyEnergi has created in Hull. I'm not any sort of policy wonk but surely government could do something to encourage more of that sort of thing?

That could be me feeding the ducks. Not somewhere that I associate with postcards mind you.

Thanks Paul! It's just curiosity to be honest, seems weird that they've had to do it three times in eight years so I wanted to throw the question open to the floor.

We're currently on three times in eight years, I don't think this is normal.

Quick question - please repost for reach - how often have your local water company been out to fix leaks at your meter/stop tap? It's probably directly outside your front door or maybe at the end of your garden/drive and they'll have had to lift slabs or dig into the ground.

Perfect name for him. Reminds me of my last cat George, who also would have fitted the name very well (not at the computer hence no photo, just to head off the picture tax demands).

Hello from the UK! Where we're seeing loads of Chinese EVs on the roads. They're not early adopter stuff any more, they're mainstream. I'm interested in cars but sometimes I see a brand I've never heard of before in the wild. Efficient cars are cheap to run, that's what people want.

I did a basic course about the web a year or two later where I distinctly remember being told we'd never run out of IPv4 addresses!

Of course it was only a theory then, surely we'd never have enough computing power for companies to calculate that price for everyone...

When I studied economics nearly 30 years ago this was taught as a theory; that every individual had a price they were willing to pay for a specific product. I was used as an example by the teacher; I would be willing to pay more for a Fairport Convention record than anyone else in the class.

Likewise, 2nd year think (year 8 now), in a boys' school. We thought it was unrealistically grim.

It's in the building that used to be Curry Leaf Café which I was always very fond of, hope Taro lasts as long.

Bento box containing teriyaki chicken, karaage chicken, tempura prawns, beansprouts, edamame beans, a couple of different sorts of sushi and salmon sashimi. Out of shot there's rice, soy sauce and an Asahi beer. I've already finished the miso soup.

Excellent bento for lunch at Taro in Brighton today 🍜

I've loved it since first transmission, treated myself to the BluRays a while back and I'm currently watching along in time with the excellent @adreamgivenform.bsky.social podcast. Happy to chat B5 any time!

I remember arguing this at the time - that we would simply end up living by EU rules as a default, without having any say in them. Back then people were excited thinking they'd be able to buy inefficient vacuum cleaners again.

My presentation skills haven't improved but that Valentine dinner was delicious. Not even boasting, most of it was down to the quality of the meat. Don't think I've ever had a steak that tender. 🍜

I haven't read it since school but I was stunned to see the trailer advertising it as an ideal Valentine's date movie. It's... not exactly a romance.

This is how I was taught to make lattes back in about 1998, nobody seems to do it any more though.

Another opportunity to own a really lovely book. I enjoyed this just as much as I enjoy the radio show.
