Tonight’s Wednesday Night Magic event at our store is a piñata format where each pod is battling a turkey. The winner of each pod will receive one of these “fabulous” Turkey leg Rice Krispy Treats. I’m adding this to my resume. 😆

A year ago my brother burned our relationship to the ground because his love for Trump was greater than his love for me. I shared my story here then, and the support I received from strangers was incredible. Just a reminder for those who need it and happen to see this: Family is who you choose.

It’s 111° degrees here, and even indoors, it’s hot, but as I take a #minifig painting class for charity at a local tattoo shop, I’m wearing one of my fav shirts from Penzey’s Spices and some new #taco earrings I picked up this summer. It’s always a good day to #resist.

I think this works for new and veteran staff! As we teach longer and we take the chance of our empathy gap developing and, even unintentionally, being less empathetic to students, we could use this reminder of how impacted students are by the adults in their schools.

Can we get more of this? “The Japanese American National Museum will ‘scrub nothing,’ Fujioka said, and instead will highlight the importance of DEI.

“Our community is based on diversity, equity is guaranteed to us in the Constitution, and inclusion is what we believe in,” Fujioka said.

This administration’s changes are the antithesis of the conversations educators are having with each other and with students about AI.

“The Trump administration has removed safety, fairness, misinformation, and responsibility as things it values for AI, which I think speaks for itself,”

Yet you chose not to listen to your constituents, automatically disconnecting every phone call we made to your office to tell you that we wanted a no vote.

Every time I tried calling Durbin’s office, a recording conveniently told me that I would need to call back and then disconnected me. Absolute cowardice to not listen to your constituents.
