I previously used doom emacs. This was a bit of a test, but I like neovim for the start up speed, Lua scripting, convince of just popping into a single file from the terminal, and it's easier to get going on the multiple very locked down machines I have. But it's definitely not as rich as emacs!

Not great not terrible, lol. I got something tolerable that mixes some of the features I like from Emacs (e.g., spc p p to open recent projects). From a distraction free point of view when writing, I love it. The terminal emulator is slow so I have to use Tmux to run wezterm separately.
