My winter Sunday routine is to buy them for the working week ahead.

Nice to know these household names support mainstreaming the idea (as made 100% explicit in this article) that black & brown people who’ve been here decades shouldnt have the right to vote

This story has been puzzling, because im still not clear exactly what is meant to have happened where, or why DV insists there was egregious family voting but the council seems so sure nothing was raised with them on the day (bar one concern, I’m told, which apparently turned out to be innocent)

Well yes that would seem to be a problem- there have to be channels of communication between the differing levels, surely?!

The conclusion sums it up perfectly: "That disdain for democratic government reveals that Trump’s military adventure against Iran is also fundamentally an attack on the United States of America."

Astonishing lack of historical memory and increasingly a feeling of not being able/willing to engage with the news. So many people have switched off.

This was a good article- I am curious why there is such a disconnect between a mayoral or backbencher view and the cabinet leadership. It appears to be impossible to lead with kindness and compassion any more. I am reminded of the hate Jacinda Ardern faced when she tried. Surely it must be tried

Was a lovely day wasn’t it. Met nieces for a theatre trip to Hadestown; fantastic show! Nice to find the reasons to do cultural things together

Went to Berlin in half term and it is seriously alarming looking around our world currently at the parallels with 1930s. So much to worry about.

I didn’t watch last night, however have been very impressed by @faizashaheen.bsky.social when have heard her speak and her writing. Very clear about the barriers women of colour face being heard and taken seriously.

On the streets of Crowborough Stall of Kindness driven off by intimidation and thuggery

The ignorance & hatred that’s fuelling, and being fuelled by, Reform needs to be challenged far more robustly. It is blocking our right to peaceful, democratic expression.

The UK parliament now has an MP who is openly racist and far right. This is, for the current era, new ground, and it will be interesting to see how - if at all – other MPs respond.

Was in Berlin last week, the parallels between 1930s Berlin and today, especially in US, are stark. It is worrying.

A message to school leaders:

The best way to support student learning is to support teachers. Their wellbeing, workload, and professional growth should always be a priority. When teachers feel valued, pupils thrive.

Remember, it's not just pupils who need words of positivity and kindness, but your colleagues and support staff.

Even the parents in your community could do with words of positivity and kindness.

Connecting and building strong relationships takes everyone in the community.

I think a big issue we've got around SEND and inclusion is linked to the way that learning and curriculum are currently conceptualised. Instead of planning for the outliers you get this refrain of 'teach to the top, scaffold up' which has never sat particularly well with me. Who is 'the top'? 🧡 1/3

Worth mentioning that Reform intends to scrap the new Renters Rights Bill, which protects tenants, so horror stories like this would be more frequent. Also again away from MSM it is great to see true journalism at work.

This is one of the most heart-breaking & important articles I have ever read - from someone whose voices are so rarely heard, a teenaged girl.

If you want to understand online misogyny in all its devastating impact, please read this shattering piece.

As evidenced by his graceless hissy fit when asked a polite question about this today, Farage *really* doesn't want us talking about how expensively privately educated his whole top team were, it would be such a shame if everyone got to hear about this
