Christine was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2022.

New research funded by BCRT will investigate two established chemotherapy drugs for the treatment of Ewing sarcoma.

The grant has been awarded to Dr Nikolas Herold at the Karolinska Institutet, with researchers from The University of Manchester and Universität Heidelberg.

From testing a modified virus, they hope it will recognise and destroy tumour cells more effectively.
