Earlier this week, Murphysboro’s Alayna Evans was recognized as an Eagle Scout with Troop 7004G. She’s the first female Eagle Scout in the Big Muddy District and one of about 2,500 nationwide. For her project, she planted 25 white oak trees at Pyles Fork Nature Preserve.
