Passionate about science and research, focused and determined (stubborn?), enthusiast, and senselessly optimistic. I believe in human nature and believe that the study of society is the pathways to make us better human beings.

Looking forward to this panel discussion. Technology is impacting on how we manage, develop and innovate democracy. Pathways to informed changes in voting and doing politics is critical. Understanding the potentials and the risks of how the meta world is influencing changes is key

Viewpoint: Europe’s research priorities must catch up with reality As Europe transitions into summer, the heat is rising in the debate about the next cycle of its flagship research and innovation Framework Programme. A fundamental question looms: in what kind of…

@gabilombardo.bsky.social says Europe's research priorities must align with reality. As FP10 talk progress, it's clear tech alone can't address today’s challenges. Research should focus on people, integrating social sciences and humanities for genuine innovation, democracy, and peace.

It's insane what is happening. How can Europe help and how can we work with you to prevent similar things to happen in our member states and in Europe? Currently, we are battling to retain a standalone programme for R&I which is a firm commitment and has been so for over 40 years!!

Thanks for the article. As many say at these days "We are not America!". Europe remains based on social values and its excellence remains research on society and humanities as a proud seal of civilisation.

Quite literally, the most existential problems in πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ society right now are things that can ONLY be explained by research that is NOT STEM. Maybe, among the twenty examples of great STEM research, you could bother to feature at least ONE thing on democracy, the economy, international security, etc.?

We need our university leaders to stop doing this ALL THE TIME. It fuels every stereotype & feeds every lazy Narrativeℒ️, & we need you to explain to the public why we need to fund research in the liberal arts as well. And that starts with not pretending it doesn't exist or matter on your websites.
