✅ Pros: The Commission pledges to make the EU regulatory process faster and simpler.
🚨 Cons: It is likely that the inability of European institutions to deliver a regulatory framework in a predictable manner continues to be a key regulatory risk 6/6
4️⃣ Cutting red tape
✅ Pros: The Commission is committed to streamlining (digital) regulations and implementing policies more effectively
🚨 Cons: The 51 new initiatives for the first year and 123 old initiatives in the pipeline will likely bring new compliance requirements for European businesses 5/6
3️⃣ Supporting talent attraction and immigration
✅ Pros: The Commission notes labour migration is needed to address the European skills shortage
🚨 Cons: Actual policy actions focus almost solely on illegal migration and asylum policy, and the EU's visa policy is seen as a geopolitical tool 4/6
2️⃣ Boosting cultural and creative industries
✅ Pros: Cultural and creative industries are acknowledged to be amongst our economy's most dynamic and competitive sectors.
🚨 Cons: It is still a long way to a clear plan to explore the full potential of cultural and creative industries in our society.3/6

✅ Pros: Improved access to data and fair competition are at the core of the agenda
🚨 Cons: A clear and coherent legal framework for businesses and administrations to share data seamlessly and at scale, does not necessarily ensure access to the data in the first place2/6

5️⃣ We need better access to regulation. All EU member states should translate relevant acts, implementation guidelines, and court decisions into English. All EU member states should also allocate sufficient resources for their national enforcement authorities to help businesses in English. 6/6
