I'm going to be super relieved when all of this is over. Dealing with the mental, emotional, & physical weight of appts on top of working overtime to cover the bills for them has been anything but fun. I'm grateful it's almost over.

As an additional update, I have more dental work scheduled to be done tomorrow on the left side of my mouth, two fillings on top & two on bottom. Thankfully it won't be as extensive as what was done on the right side, & after this appt, it'll be just one more to get the abscessed tooth extracted.

A Loggerhead Sea Turtle cruises in a Carribbean coral reef, with lookdown fish swimming synchronously in a massive school while Atlantic spadefish go about their business. Originally made in late March of last year, I figured I wanted to update the barren background of the original art and add in some coral to balance it out while also keeping sure to add in the fish to make the background pop out along with adding in some shadows and lighting to the turtle's shell and texture. (P.S: The sea turtle you see here was based from an old photo taken at my hometown aquarium from their former shark exhibit to which sea turtles were genuinely promiment inside the tank they inhabited)

Honestly, it's totally fine, hon. If you feel like you need to take a break from social media or the internet in general for a bit for the sake of your mental health, then I say go for it. Rest is an act of resistance, after all, & you need to take care of you first & foremost before anything else.

This is why it's important to do research before applying for a job & to arm yourself with knowledge on what red flags look like within a job posting or during an interview. It sucks to have to do that, but we're living in a dysfunctional capitalist dystopia so it's sadly necessary.

What's more is, just because a company claims it's a good place to work & it has all these benefits doesn't mean that it is actually a good place to work. Some companies are managed by very abusive & toxic bosses under the surface & sometimes that toxicity can trickle down from the top.

Oh, I know. I totally agree with you. There are ppl out there who spend hundreds of hours replying to job ads just to not hear back bc those ads are for positions that don't exist. Ppl are being deceived into thinking that a company is hiring when it isn't.

I really do wish there were stricter measures regarding employee mistreatment in the workplace. I know that's what we're supposed to have unions for, but having a union isn't necessarily mandated by law unfortunately.

The thing is, though, there are companies that do that BUT they do so under false pretenses, meaning they lie or use deceptive language in both their ads & job listings just to get people in the door. I honestly wish that that was illegal, but it sadly isn't as far as I know.

Correction- at the time I posted this, I was at $655. And now I'm at $670- that's within reach!

Is anyone able to help push me over the line for rent? Anything over will go towards saving my storage unit and restocking groceries.
