special prize for the person with the most cards at the start of the finale

whoever has most at the end wins the season

speaking of beyblade, had a very fun and normal time a couple sundays ago with a bunch of other 30+ folks

basically, season finale event for a side format based around a specific blade, which has gold-colored balls

the word for golden ball can mean something else and we’re all Very Mature about it

friend poked me for beyblade gift suggestions and i feel so bad about the infodump she's gonna get beyond general pricing to avoid scalpers and "here's a nice list for someone just starting" lmao

might’ve been caused by starting on the roof and jumping down? who knows, but this was the only actual jank i dealt with over ~40 hours

easily remedied by running around the corner to reset the battle and the trainer respawned a moment later

oh right, finally got Z-A earlier this week, cleared main story last night

game fun. new characters were great and they handled the returning ones very well imo

i have some tiny annoyances with some stuff, but enjoyed everything else overall. also surprised by how smooth it runs on switch 1 lol

man, already getting so many glamour ideas

might need to do some asphodelos farming i forget if i have any leg coffers or pages left over

FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO FFXI LET’S GOOOO

once i got the login screen, it was basically a race to enter recovery before steam or whatever else needing the GPU pre-loaded in the background and hard-crashed the laptop again. kept losing that lmao

finally got in earlier this morning. made sure it was stable and grabbed lori’s data

yippee

another ?? decision from the mfg: no way to enter safe mode outside of the OS. all pre-OS shortcuts disabled besides diagnostics and BIOS, no way to get to safe mode from BIOS either lol

forcing recovery environment looped back to POST, which meant being yelled at again (sorry neighbors at 10pm)

most annoying thing was the manufacturer defaulting to RAID0 on multi-SSD configurations. couldn’t just pull them to get the data, so had to get this going somehow.

biggest issue was being hardwalled at POST (and yelled at) 9/10 times

if i could get in to the OS, died as soon as the GPU was called

"oh yeah i'll just reseat the RAM and go from there"
RAM is soldered in

"okay cool. CMOS reset then"
no CMOS battery. whatever just disconnect the main battery and do a funny power cycle. ah. the cable is tiny with barely enough space for a precision tool to pop it out, let alone a fingernail

the weekend nightmare of dealing with post-vaccine aches/brainfog + the most anti-end user laptop i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with is finally over

not gonna dive deep in to the mess the AH and overall economy has gone through lol

there was a point shortly after asura locking where you could see things being bought out to artificially spike prices up even higher, or others pushed so low to make it not worthwhile for actual players

it’s not nearly as bad as asura (yet), but up until a couple months ago i only had to blist variants of that dennys guy and the very occasional RMT shout, while watching folks clown on attempted merc advertisements

now it’s a steady flow of sortie/ambu/aeonic/JP/ML yells clogging up city channels

we knew it was coming, but bahamut is being locked down next week lol

it’s being handled the same exact way as asura, which many could argue is what got us to this point

give RMT a very clear window like this and they shift and start new hordes on the server being locked and the next largest world

yeah, a little too loose on the upper body movement for 1.x if that makes sense

ah yeah i forgot they used that shirt for the 1.0 character renders, so i can definitely see the mixup especially with the colors lol

the current racial gear was not added until ARR, though they did tease it and later showed concept art around august of 2012

probably won't be able to get time stranger right away so going for some grindy min/max stuff in cyber sleuth in the mean time

lucky 2x tactician USB drop on a single development cycle, so that's 4x now (other slot was 1x researcher USB)
