I wish I wouldnt have grown up as one of the last of my generation to learn cursive in elementary school and then move right into digital only in middle school

FOUND IT. I guess it wasn't angel apocalypse oops. I remember really liking that they made angels like ???? Evil ???? In this. It was different than anything else i'd read in the genre up to that point, I probably won't reread it but I will sit and turn the vague recollection of it over in my head

Gonna make a nostalgia list and probably not reread them because I want to just remember them as they used to be (EXCEPT GRACELING I think that one would be a good read as an adult) but there's so many books that shaped me and my writing ‼️

Omg how could I forget Poison Study and Storm Glass by Maria Ying and Graceling (my belovedddddd) as well ‼️‼️‼️ I read those fantasy YA books over and over ‼️

Holly Black's Modern Faerytale series also obv had a big impact on me as well as the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy 🙂‍↕️ it's wild how much I find myself remembering what those books left me with and how they impact my writing now.

(And dont even get me started on the TV shows lmao)

Seeing the new covers for Holly Black's Curse Workers series reminded me of how much I loved that series, and it also reminded me of this other YA series I read about an angel apocalypse??? I cant remember the name, but I remember both of these series being formative to topics I like writing today
