Documentation in video games is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. It's almost impossible to keep it up to date until you really need it or the publisher casually asks, "List everything your game includes with descriptions. For yesterday, thanks."

On YouTube, I've been haunted by a fake game that periodically changes its art style, but the concept and script remain the same. I can't bring myself to check out what they make me download, but I often think about it as the most disturbing trend in the industry.
