You could use cuddling in the short term while waiting for a better verb. Something is usually better than nothing

Maybe suggest keeping or cherishing as verbs. There's an entire tab of the ui for suggestions :)

I'd see it as Tagging Along but I don't think that's an option. If I recall it's a constrained list. Absorbed maybe?
