Could turn into a very benign slice of life.

I’d drawn my map for this weeks session of Pathfinder & remembered I had bought a bunch of Dungeon Craft Terrain pieces by @1985games.bsky.social , and it’s really added a whole other layer to the encounter.

On that point, if I have to focus on a OTT interface I’m less likely to do my funny voice.

This system gives me an anxiety attack. I like my rolls to be random not the people I’m sitting with. 😅

I find as long as you understand that a large portion of people will either ignore or change large portions of flavour text why not go wordy!

I agree, my GM for RuneQuest is my father in law and getting him to run over a video call is enough. If the hobbie required the same skills as a gamer that would just feed the power gamers and leave the older/roleplay focused players in the dust.

Have played 3 games in one week which is a first for me. Starting off with my current Pathfinder campaign, followed by some RuneQuest classic with the fam & to top it off my partner ran her first ever game, choosing honey heist! Which she smashed!

RuneQuest Classic went well. It took a while but it slowly dawned on me the similarities between it & CoC. Here is my really bad charisma roll. I’m glad we did a roll 4 and take the best 3. Otherwise YIKES.

I never wrote for D&D. Jovian Chronicles, Call of Cthulhu (as fiction) on the other hand?

D&D is the McDonalds of roleplaying. It's not technically bad for you. But you should develop a wider palate based on what you like. Explore! Try new things!

What threw the session off?

This is a great philosophy to have.

In my Pathfinder game Gunslingers are almost exclusively Gnomes. Because they are seemingly the ones to figure that stuff out.

Season 5 undid a lot of the good faith I had in that show. And personally I feel 6 is over hated.

I’ve actually convinced him to run it for us. We will be playing next month!

I’ll eat a hat the day that self care method doesn’t work. 🙌
