Image (Art): This is a piece of fanart of Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy. It is a waist up sketch featuring Rosalina who is smiling warmly at the nearby Luma. This is a traditional sketch which I've added colour to digitally, just to make it look a bit more interesting. For example, I also decided to include a circle for the background behind Rosalina and the Luma, which features a purple-pink gradient to make it look like space; I even added a few sparkles here and there to make it look like stars. I also used the default Star brush from GIMP around the edge of the circle (small in size) in a white opaque overlay, and within the circle itself (which are a bit larger and are of a lighter opaque.) It's actually been quite a while since I drew Rosalina, so I just left this as a basic quick sketch. I was going to base it on her new amiibo figure's artwork, because I absolutely adore her expression in that piece of art (and I really hope that Nintendo releases the image in full) but I thought I'd just keep it simple....since her shoulders and the top bit of her dress was causing me a bit of grief. I still don't think its totally correct, but I'll sort it out (along with a couple of other things I've noticed) when I eventually get around to doing a digital version... || Artist: yesbutterfly (Image tags, included for clarity for the subject: supermario, supermariogalaxy, nintendo, fanart, rosalina, luma, sketch)

Image (Art): This is a piece of digital artwork that I did, which is fanart of a friends OC called Flyla, who belongs to @FierceTheBandit. Flyla is a cute bird-girl, whose species is known as a Cresent Owl. I decided to keep this piece simple, seeing as its just from a sketch that I did of her, it is a full body piece, with her standing there - but almost like she's either taking a step forward, or maybe she's just landed. I drew one of her wings (which act like arms) raised, whilst the other one is by her side. She's also looking towards the viewer. For the background, I kept it simple, with a double round circle - with the inner one being off-centre, which makes it look like there's a crescent moon in reference to her being a Crescent Owl. It's purple and light pink in colour as a contrast to Flya's colours. It's also textured with diagonal lines, and stars. I also want to add, that I was also slightly experimenting with the lineart and the colours that I've used, although I might tweak them a bit at some point since the "Night Light" setting I have on makes certain parts look a bit strange to me, but it probably looks fine for you. She looks very purple, although more blue without it on, so its a bit confusing for me about whether it looks right. But I'm still happy with how she turned out! || Artist: yesbutterfly. Image (Art): A piece of cross-over fanart which I did in 2024, featuring Yumetaro from the video game Gimmick! (also known as Mr. Gimmick!) by Tomomi Sakai /Sunsoft, and Kirby from the Kirby series by Hal Laboratory Inc/Nintendo. I called this piece "Star Friends" as I believe that they would actually make good friends, Kirby is on his warp star looking at Yumetaro who is waving happily from his own star; which he can create himself to ride on. The two are surrounded by stars, alongside a couple of clouds to indicate they are airborn. I kept the center background (within a circle) soft and light almost pastel-like colours (blue/purple/pink) as I wanted the main focus to be on the two characters. || Artist: yesbutterfly (Image tags, included for clarity for the subject: gimmick! , mrgimmick , yumetaro, kirby , nintendo , sunsoft , fanart digitalart )

Image (Art): This is an old piece of digital fanart that I did in 2019 of Chrissy and Francine from Animal Crossing using their pre-New Horizons 'designs.' It's just a simple piece with the two characters doing cutesy poses that I thought would be appropriate for their personality types. The background just features a circle, using the contrasting colours from each other (so Francine's blue, is used as the background for Chrissy's section, and the Pink from Chrissy is used for Francine's portion) to compliment the piece, with dots around the edge. I wanted a nice clean feel to the image to make it look like it could be on some sorta merch or something. || Artist: yesbutterfly.
