You're welcome! When you get real brave, play with the curves, levels, and hue/saturation after you change the layer to multiple or overlay to make it blend even more and have the right look lol

Haha okay so over on the far right you can see the different layers, make sure your new pattern is on its own layer, make sure that layer is selected and then there should be a button that says "normal" up near the opacity. Change that to overlay or multiply. Then just pick whichever looks better.

Change the layer type to multiply or overlay and it'll let the shadows show through
