Happy last day of phish 1.0 I guess

I know I recently commented on this but considering the annoyance this airport continues to provide every time I am here I will again point out the hilarity of ORD having the cannabis amnesty boxes *after* security. Yes I am aware other airports have them located this way but it is still stupid

Apparently the computers can't figure out how to allow this so that's fun

At least this is all on the company dime and time

And then all that to show up at the connecting gate and I missed it by 2min. 2min!!!!

No more flights on AA to get me there tonight and every other airline full.

So now I get to deal with Hilton saying they can't cancel my hotel in CA because I had already checked in...

But then when we landed at ORD it took 52min to finally get to a gate. I swear we drove around so long it seemed like we were trying to find a parking spot.

We even went back out over the highway to make another lap.

Folks on the plane were great about letting connectors off too

Flight leaving BOS was delayed due to "weather" at ORD. We eventually left 45min late but still left me time to make my connection.

Heck the gates even changed so I would only have to go 3 gates to my connection...

Eventually, traveling a lot catches up with you and all the near misses on flights screw you over.

Tonight is that for me but could be so much worse. At least I am already to a hotel even if I only made it ⅓ of the way to my destination on the other coast

But this didn't need to happen

it is inspiring to see the variously jury-rigged methods by which people charge their devices during travel. There is no uniformity to it at all. Mismatched blocks/cables, short or ridiculously long cords, massive power banks that are definitely not meant for travel... it's chaotic and glorious

it is especially prevalent in California. my company gets dozens of these lawsuits annually of people grifting off of technicalities and/or changes to ADA and other policy (e.g. a lot of stuff in CA around materials in products deemed by the state to be cancer causing).
