Big news! We finally got our permit to begin renovating our new women’s shelter, Bethanie's Room. We’ll turn a former bike shop into a warm, trauma-informed space where women can feel safe at night. Thank you to everyone who donated to make this dream a reality.

A man struggling with addiction brought a woman to Blanchet House after finding her lost and confused. Our staff spent hours with agencies and missing persons reports before learning she had a home, but forgot where it was. She's now home. Blanchet is more than meals. We're a hub for people in need.

Juan, who’s staying with us at Blanchet House, took 5th place out of 400 people, at the recent Go The Distance (GTD) event! GTD helps people in addiction recovery incorporate physical activity into their lives, gives them a support network, and helps build self-esteem one run at a time. Go, Juan!

Good news! The city opened public bathrooms only two blocks away from Blanchet House. We took a tour of the new city-run Oasis, set up for people experiencing homelessness, and we’re impressed. The restroom stalls have a shower and toilet that are cleaned after every use.

Tim, 80, and Judith, 81, have been donating veggies from their garden all summer. Blanchet House is one of a few charitable kitchens able to accept homegrown produce and use it to feed people in need.
