So glad I found Earthdivers when it first dropped which reinvigorated my love for you after obsessing over Demon Theory in high school, which lead me to The Only Good Indians, The Buffalo Hunter Hunter, I Was a Teenage Slasher, and the Indian Lake trilogy.

the first time I heard Jeff talk about this project, I literally leaned forward in my seat. the final result is so wonderful - intricate and interesting and surprising in all the best ways. I sincerely hope you give it a listen!

This is one of the most special things I've ever been a part of, truly, and to have been able to do so with one of my best internet friends-turned real life friends was an absolute treat. I really hope you'll give it a shot.

From there, it was out of my hands, and into the tender loving care of @oldermodal.bsky.social, who shepherded the frenetic energy of Jeff's writing and transformed it into the music that we always knew that it could be. With a little help from a whole host of other players.

I spent the latter half of the year dialogue editing this beast w/ a cast that includes so many of my personal favorites, like @profcoppermane.bsky.social, @starplanes.bsky.social, @alittlejstillz.bsky.social, @ishanikanetkar.bsky.social, @alexanderdanner.bsky.social, @erejordan.bsky.social, & more.

My favorite part of the process was visiting Boston last summer to help direct Jeff through his portions in studio at The Bridge. We tore through the whole thing that morning and I just knew how special it was going to be.

It was a Herculean task, in a lot of ways, to bring this way to life, both in the amount of time it took Jeff to examine and write the story over the years, but also in finding all of the right people to help bring it to life. And truly? I think we did.

What convinced him was budgetary concerns (you know, with the narrator doing the brunt of the heavy lifting across the whole project and all), but I like to think my confidence in his absolute necessity to play this character, in order to give it any form of justice helped too.

When @vandreasonable.bsky.social sent me this script, I couldn't wait to hear it brought to life. So much so, that I insisted on helping him produce it. And then beyond that, while helping to cast, insisted that he play the self-insert character that he'd so clearly written....
