I don’t have the fundraising power that many do so that we have everything that we need but I will never give up.

Because these moments, they are too short and even just the idea of saving those around me is enough motivation to keep going.

I think about this night often, the calm before the crazy.

My last night with some of these men.

Today I remember the sacrifices of my forefathers as a Canadian soldier in the Armed Forces of #Ukraine.

We protect innocent civilians who are raped, tortured and murdered under the guise of “liberation”.

And if you have never set foot in Ukraine but eat up russian propaganda and call it fact…you have no right to speak.

Gender is not a construct that enters our minds, you are a soldier first and if you fight, you are one of us.

Sexuality is never questioned, war does not care who you love.

And together we fight genocidal, racist, homophobes who rape their own soldiers as initiation.

When I look back 40 years from now I will remember who supported Ukrainians and who attacked.

Citizens from 65 countries have come to defend Ukraine.

People of colour lead our ranks.
