01.03.2026 19:10 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes actually! If you google transferring music from spotify to apple music, it's a few step process... majorly simple. All the albums, artists, playlists, etc. come over! 1-2-3-easy!
27.02.2026 16:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Here is another example of AI displacing workers. I think it's rotten. Unless we radically reform Capitalism and institute basic income, people will be left without jobs. People need SOMETHING TO DO!

Lifetime Android user, has ditched Spotify for Apple Music and I'm not looking back.
After the ridiculous price increases on Spotify and the way they don't pay their artists, it was time to move on. Apple made it easy to transfer all my playlists and favorites too.
Agree with this. It's impossible. Why break what used to work?

Just started reading The Birding Dictionary and am reminded of Ambrose Bierce. I've laughed aloud at the American Robin definition and then stopped to search to learn more about the Anhinga b/c my curiosity was piqued. Small book that's big on fun and learning.
I was lucky to see these as #lifer birds in Minnesota this weekend.

I note here that about 2/3rds of the US military budget is compensation β salaries, health care, pension, GI Bill, disability & veteran care β so while it may take a generation to reduce spending by half, itβs not impossible.
The military shouldnβt be the Get Out Of Poverty card itβs become.
Thanks Dave!

It would also be cool to see a bunch of northern birds lacking on my list: Northern Hawk-Owl, Boreal Owl, Redpoll, Evening Grosbeaks, Pine Grosbeaks, Spruce Grouse, Bohemian Waxwings, and a bunch of northern woodpeckers, but I'll be happy to see just this one guy, if I can.

Strictly a northern bird, it hunts small mammals in the snow. By using its face feathers like a satellite dish, it has super hearing, and can triangulate mice BELOW THREE FEET OF SNOW, even AT NIGHT!! To see them dive in the snow and come out with a tasty mouse is really something impressive.

A huge great gray owl sits on a snowy branch.
Heading to Northern Minnesota this weekend, hoping to see this big boy: the Great Gray Owl (Strix nebulosa). The largest owl in North America, it sits over 3 feet tall, and has a wingspan of over 5 feet. (This was the climactic bird in the wonderful birding movie, The Big Year.)

100%. I grew up in Germany, and the soft boiled eggs had to have completely firm whites, but a creamy wet yolk, so that you could sop it up with brotchen. And unlike the the Parisians, the Germans provided you with a tiny little egg cup, so you didn't have it slipping around all over the place.
12.02.2026 20:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also, how about those blood-orange yolks in that photo?? We just can't get them like that here with our pale yellow chicken yolks.
12.02.2026 17:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0These eggs were cooked a bit too long. Only the deepest part of the yolk is still runny.
In my hotel in Paris this week, they had something I'd not seen before, a communal 8 egg boiler with color-coded ladles for egg dipping. After a week of trials, I can report that exactly 4:30 is the correct answer for "regular" sized soft-boiled eggs. Pictured below was 6 minutes.
