Well, that's enough BlueSky for this lifetime.
I imagine you'd be horrified/disgusted/furious to learn that many conservatives feel exactly the same way about Progressives.

Ahhh, I might not know the context here? (Also just saw another "you can log off" but phrased as a pretty funny joke. This was the third or so "white men shouldn't/can etc" post on the discovery section and I finally poked back because holy fuck is that a stale take in of itself.

No, I'm saying that it's terrible advice for any group being hassled.Anyone on the Left saying anything like "the solution to trans folks being hassled online is for them to log off" would be, rightfully, crucified in the court of public opinion.
"Bullied" because that's how it was in OP's post.
Oh, you misread that and assumed I meant all of BlueSky was declaring him racist etc. That's as silly as saying everyone with a twitter account is a raging fascist.

Customer: I've been on hold for ten minutes, maybe I should call back later.
Recording: Your call is important to us.
Customer: Well, if it's important to them, I'd better stay on hold!
Scenes that have never ever happened, not even once.
Bluesky getting whiny, angry and lashing out at Nate Silver (declaring him racist, homophobic etc) for the sin of pointing out that Bluesky's left wing bubble isn't going to be particular helpful for winning elections is so depressingly on brand for Bluesky.

I'm a programmer and when we were in the office, I think more than half the team had an xkcd comic or two on their walls.
That's a comic that I really doubt would have ever been in the papers.
They mean extreme in the unelectable sense. Leading in the polls means that these positions are now possible in mainstream politics, which is terrifying.

I'm torn; In my heart I agree but my head wonders what the inevitable retaliation would be.
Realpolitik sucks and long term, proof we need to diversify beyond America but in the short term, they are a gigantic chunk of our economy and we are a relatively insignificant part of theirs.
The writer mentions previous pre ubiquitous internet fads in the very first sentence.
There's a delightful irony in you missing the first sentence while scolding the author for being unable to do research.

I live a 5 minute walk from a rocking indie theatre and love randomly solo-ing a movie.
Plenty of upsides but the one downside is if you see a weird one you don't have that friend to "wtf was that?!?" with immediately afterwards.
It's wild seeing the hobbies that got kids bullied when I was growing up are now unironically loved by the type of folks (athletes) who were doing a disproportionate amount of the bullying.

Our committment to picking the dumbest, most unpopular fights possible is a testament to our willingness to hurt the most vulnerable people on the planet.
But I guess we get internet points, so there's that.
I legit wonder if some of these accounts are republicans.
The easiest way for donald to win 26/28 is to keep the Left fighting battles that are broadly unpopular in America AND are not in the top 20 serious issues facing the country.
Were I a right winger, I'd be boosting this shit all day long.

The UK is moving to up their defence spending by an absurd amount, is talking about joining a nuclear shield with the EU, while also moving closer to the EU on trade (albeit in a limited fashion.)
Moving past your largest military and trading partner is a very long, complicated process.
For donald's base, who will only hear about the version that praised donald's leadership etc.
Like the UK trade "agreement" where I think the UK said they intended to buy more energy than the US exports. The reality and math doesn't matter, what matters is trump having a big number to show off.
Because the sad truth is that the US holds an effective veto over Ukraine's ability to fight. Even now, much of thr air defence, communications etc are possible via the American military or companies. If America withdraws, Ukraine's wishes are irrelevant to what will happen. Realpolitik sucks.
