Mounted under the desk, maximum space AND ventilation, is the correct response.
Doubly so if you use a standing desk. A little work and you can get it so only one or two cables ever need any slack.

The Framework Desktop PC does a superb job splitting the difference between a powerful, enthusiast AI PC (with an AMD Strix Halo chip) and making it accessible to the average consumer.

Tech companies are increasingly struggling to prove LLMs provide tangible productivity gains for most people
So watch for them to increasingly rely on intangible things like mental health (which, to be clear, is not and never will be therapy)
Me, when I realize I can listen to audiobooks while I do other things: "Oh, yay!"
Me, when I realize doing multiple things at once makes me bad at listening to audiobooks: "Oh, no!"
Totally normal stuff: Two sections of the Constitution, about due process and foreign gifts, just vanished off the Congressional website, a site that has not changed in many many years

I bought this mouse with my own money, I'm using it right now.
"Sorry little Timmy. We were THIS close to making a vaccine for the cancer you got from tainted drinking water."
"But a bunch of people were so mad that there was a movie with a Black mermaid that we decided, naw, fuck it, no cancer cures and let's go back to feudalism while we cook the planet."
Why? We've decided that laws don't apply to billionaires. And these investors helped make that a reality.

I mirror this view, with one caveat: it will -not- necessarily find an audience and it won't necessarily be a success, but if you made it because you want them to exist, at least you have the reward of having pulled these never-made things screaming out of the sea of ideas into reality.

But if you want me to pore over the history of a gun nut reply guy rando, you can pay me by the hour.
It isn't about unlimited access to weapons, either. That's settled law.
But it's fucking adorable that you think anyone in this administration cares about the Constitution, while the secret police beat the shit out of citizens for the crime of being the wrong color.
If you plan on shooting a dozen of them within a few seconds, sure.
But a better solution in that situation, even if you have a gun, would be running away.
Pistols make sense for personal defense, rifles or shotguns for home defense. Semi-auto rifles make sense for mass shootings.

29.07.2025 14:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are legitimate reasons for a person to have a gun in America, if only because so many people have guns.
Yes, that's a circular argument. It sucks.
But there's zero self-defense justification for having a semi-auto rifle. These guns are designed to kill lots of people quickly. That's it.
ah yeah the familiar whiplash of seeing a legacy media org cover something you're an actual expert in and realizing "oh if this is how badly they're fucking up this, how badly are they fucking up every other topic?"
