You know, to be completely honest, I think Intelligent Systems is a pretty underrated developer.

All the video games and franchises they have worked on and are so different from each other yet so high-quality. I think they deserve much more appreciation than they receive.

Look, I know some people really don't like the GameCube for understandable reasons. But tbh I still love it. It has a great game catalog and remains my second-favorite Nintendo home console... And I say this because I still choose the Switch over it; it's my favorite Nintendo console in general.

But I think that regardless of how much someone might dislike one, none of the three Fates games are even close to being among the "worst JRPGs of all time." They all arguably have some very good qualities.

Conquest and Revelations, in comparison, are much more inconsistent in terms of quality, with both better and worse aspects. Which, overall, I think also makes them also somewhat average.

Tbh I would say the opposite. Birthright doesn't do anything insultingly bad, the story, characters, map design, and everything else is just average, that's its greatest benefit and its biggest problem in my opinion, it's just an average game overall.

None of the Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem games deserve to be here. Is like putting Zelda Skyward Sword on a list of "worst action-adventure games" as part of all the exaggerated hate it received.

And since I can't stop expressing how much I love the Fire Emblem series, it's best to mention one I don't talk about much:

15. Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

With an amazing story and characters, good map design, great ost, and a perfectly fair difficulty, make this one of my favorite FE games.

14. The Legend of Zelda Minish Cap

Of all the Zelda games, this is the one I've replayed the most. I like how straightforward and to-the-point its progression is. The unique items are extremely original and fun to use, the dungeons are pretty creative, and the graphics are beautiful for the GBA.

[Panel 1:] Ignatz is hard at work putting the finishing touches on a painting, his easel set up in Anna's corner of the marketplace. He's wearing a beige smock covered in paint smudges of bright, warm hues. The camera is behind the canvas, so we can't see what he's painted yet. Ignatz (squinting and sticking his tongue out in concentration): "I think... this should do it. Let's see..." [Panel 2:] Ignatz steps back from the canvas, holding his paintbrush at his hip and scratching his chin with his other hand. He's blushing, looking modestly pleased with himself. Ignatz: "Huh! / I guess I'm not so bad at still-life paintings after all."

[Panel 3] is a full shot of Ignatz's finished painting on the easel, palette and brush resting alongside it, the subject visible in the market stalls behind it. We see he's been painting the fruit stand's oranges with stunning accuracy, beautifully capturing the pixelated, low-resolution texture stretched over a single nondescript low-poly lump in a basket. He's even signed it with a monogram, his initials shaped in such a way as to mimic his glasses.

Happy birthday Ignatz! This comic's easily one of my favorites. I hope an inevitable #FE3H remake keeps at least one of the low-poly fruit bowls intact, for old times' sake.
