I'm placing my bet at exactly 6 hours and 27 minutes after the update.

Hmm... my longstanding opinion that the contrast between snowy and snowless winters makes for an excellent metaphor for different visions of death. That snowy winters represent how beauty can be created from death by concealing it, and that snowless ones portray it in its raw, depressing form.

All of these aspects combine to produce what is just... a genuinely incredible shot. This one's gonna be living in my brain for quite some time, holy hell. Always a pleasure to witness your artistry on display! 9/9

The Caption: "do you think theyre scared"

...re-reading that kinda hit one of my brain's reset buttons, but anyway

So many tones it can be said in, so many possible meanings, so many implications, so much *potential* in a simple set of words... and it just pulls the whole package together. 8/9

The Framing of Your Face: Again, cycling back around to the aspect of unclear intent. The placement of your hair here hides just enough of your expression to maintain that dangerous edge of ambiguity, that heightened tension, the sense that anything could happen next, and it would be inevitable. 7/9

Your hand and the trapped figures being squarely *in* focus, portraying them as being visibly surrounded, completely trapped, consigned to and contained by their approaching fate, whatever it may be. It's wonderful WONDERFUL visual storytelling work. 6/9

The Framing of the Shot: And the impressions of unreadable intent and that "cage of flesh and bone" are communicated even more strongly by the perfect synergy between Pose and Framing. Your eyes and expression, just *slightly* out of focus, enhancing the sense of ambiguous intentions. 5/9

The last survivors of destruction already wrought? A pair of predetermined targets, whether for violence, protection, or mere fascination? No matter the real answer... there's nowhere to run. A cage of flesh and bone beyond their capacity to resist is slowly closing in. 4/9

The Pose: Peeking out from just behind a building, blocking off the view of anything behind you, while a fingertip closes in, the rest of hand already gripping their newly vulnerable foothold... it invites a sense of mystery. Are these the first victims of a fresh rampage? 3/9

The Gaze: first of all, the red eyes add such an... otherworldly intensity to the entire thing, an extra edge of danger added to eyes that are clearly focused and locked in on something. And yet, the eyes themselves don't betray even an ounce of intention, entirely and paralyzingly unreadable. 2/9

I have spent a SIGNIFICANT amount of time internally start-stopping a response to this, and something else stands out every time I THINK I have my thoughts together. The gaze, the pose, the framing of the shot, the framing of your face by your hair, the caption...
