Why the Term ‘Artificial Intelligence’ Is Misleading | IE Insights
The term artificial intelligence furthers misconceptions about the discipline's capabilities, origins, and nature, writes Pablo Sanguinetti.
Misconceptions about AI come from many sources. One of them is its very name. In this article for @ieinsights.bsky.social, I argue that the term 'artificial intelligence' creates three category mistakes and that these have shaped the entire lexicon of the field.
