Thank you to the campaigners, constituents, and coalfield MPs who have worked relentlessly over the last year as we lobbied for the return of the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme £2.3bn Investment Reserve.

and that 94 BCSSS pensioners in Bathgate & Linlithgow will now receive a significant weekly uplift to their pensions. This adds to the 294 former mine workers in the Mineworkers Pension Scheme who had an uplift in last year's budget.

I attended The Moments that Count exhibition in Parliament yesterday. This powerful exhibition shined a light on the experiences of those living with secondary breast cancer and highlights the urgent need to improve quality of life for patients.

Yesterday, I joined @PCR_News and over 120 of my MP colleagues to hand a letter to Health Secretary @westreeting calling for the urgent need for targeted prostate cancer screenings.

I'll be holding a virtual advice surgery this Friday morning.

The UNs annual campaign to end violence against women and girls is underway. This year’s theme focuses on ending digital violence against women and girls, because online abuse is real, harmful and must stop.

I was delighted to meet with @FerreroUK and learn more about their long-term partnership with @SaveChildrenIT.

Together, they are supporting farmers in cocoa-growing communities by protecting children’s rights and improving access to healthcare and education.

It was another busy week in Parliament and the constituency.

I’m proud to have been elected as the first women MP for Bathgate & Linlithgow in July 2024.

Woman make up just over a third of MPs, and that’s not enough. Also, only 35% of councillors in Scotland are women, our council chambers have a long way to go to reflect

We must continue to stand with Ukraine and fight for the safe return of the 20,000 children taken from their families.

In the Chamber today, I raised the heartbreaking reality of Ukraine’s stolen children who are being used as tools in this war.

Children are not bargaining chips or weapons of war. We owe it to them and to the world to speak out, act and end the use of children as weapons in conflict.

Russia’s abduction of Ukrainian children is a war crime and an attack on Ukraine’s identity and future. Every child must be brought home.

Dr Naveed Chaudhary lost his teenage son to Neutropenic Sepsis after chemotherapy treatment for leukemia, a preventable infection.
