On March 7th, I’m hosting an International Women’s Day event in Bathgate, bringing together a range of local organisations to share the amazing work they do to support women in our community.

It really does impact every aspect of a woman’s life, leaving many feeling as though everything is indefinitely on hold.

I enjoyed hearing about their craftsmanship, commitment to Scottish textile traditions and the work they do locally to support the wider community in Bathgate. Congratulations again to the whole team on well deserved recognition!

Unfortunately it is a little out of date now with more awards to add to the collection!

It was a pleasure to visit The Kilt Studio in Bathgate to meet Carlene & Mark and hand over the Early Day Motion I tabled recognising their recent win as Best Groomswear Supplier at the Your Scottish Wedding Awards 2025.

The Home offers a wide range of activities for residents and works with local organisations including Cycle Without Age to support residents' physical and mental wellbeing.

I had a lovely visit to Linlithgow Care Home this week where I spent time with Manager Gemma to learn more about the home, support for residents and its relationships with community groups.

Parliament is in recess, so this week I’ve taken the opportunity to catch up on emails and I’ve also been out and about in the constituency.

This upgrade is designed to make posting easier and more flexible. The new post boxes will allow customers to send letters and small labelled parcels directly through the post box for the first time.

I’ve been advised that the post boxes at Whitburn Post Office have been temporarily taken out of use as part of Royal Mail’s rollout of 3,500 post boxes of the future across the UK. They’re working to get them back up and running as soon as possible, but it could take up to eight weeks.

As Chair of the Endometriosis APPG, I spoke to ITV News about the devastating impact of endometriosis on women across the UK and the unacceptable NHS waiting times so many are facing.

Before a planning application is submitted to West Lothian Council, a public consultation event will be held on Thursday 19th February. This will allow members of the public to review the emerging proposals and provide comments and feedback.

Cruden Homes, in partnership with the affordable housing provider LINK Group, is bringing forward proposals for a new affordable and energy efficient housing development at Glendevon Park in Winchburgh.
