I listened. I just don't agree. We are allowed to do that.

So, we aren't going to agree. That's OK. But I will say this:

I see you all as enjoying ideological purity in an almost religious sense. I don't share a belief in the politics of shame. And I don't see why you all maintain such faith in it when the other side has NONE

If the goal is to protect the communities you care about, what’s the plan if the current strategy keeps losing?

Historical reverence doesn't pay the rent. If it did, Trump wouldn't have gained across the board with minorities nor would he have won a majority of white women.

Winning honors their struggles. Navel gazing doesn't.

We have fundamentally different approaches to politics. That's fine. You're welcome to hold a world view I regard as exclusionary, self defeating and even sexist. That's your right as a free person.

I am not the person asserting that people have to vote the way YOU want them to. That's the position YOU are taking.

I'm the one saying people can vote how they want to. That's called democracy.

You're right, people won't vote a certain way unless they're sufficiently catered to. That's called sales, and earning votes in a democracy IS a sales job.

You don't get to govern if you don't WIN

So, I try not to criticize people on here, but the job is to win votes - not blame voters. If you can't do that, get a different job.

And who knows? That might just be the path to American renewal. Stranger things have happened. After all, Donald Trump got elected - twice.

By expanding the House and adopting multi-member districts elected via ranked-choice voting, we can stop forcing our politics into a single thread. Instead, we can watch a tree of American voices blossom.

We face a choice. We can watch watch partisans fight over the ruins of our democracy or build a more representative one.

3) The Uniform Congressional District Act of 1967. This mandates single-member districts, entrenching gerrymandering and casting third parties into a void.

2) The Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929. By freezing the House at 435 seats while the population tripled, districts ballooned to 760,000 people. This bottleneck allows the PVA to surgically dilute dissent via gerrymandering.

This system maintains control through three structural safeguards:

1) First-Past-The-Post Voting. A winner-take-all model where 51% of voters secure 100% of the power. Any "variant" voice is effectively pruned.

At 20,000 ICE agents, they can assign 1 agent per polling place.

Even if they utilized every federal law enforcement officer, they could get to not even 2 per polling place.

They simply don't have the numbers.

The math isn't going to work for them on this.

There are 89,000 polling places in the USA.

There are what, 20,000 ICE agents? 137,000 total federal law enforcement?

The decentralized nature of the attack is something we were not prepared for. We didn't imagine fascism spreading itself like a computer virus. We saw it arriving as a concentrated force.

So, Dems can't agree on which of their own to screw over?

Maybe that's a sign that this is a bad idea. Democrats need a united front to protect democracy, not artificially juiced numbers.

TikTok reportedly suppressed videos criticizing ICE & the shooting of Alex Pretti.

Meta blocked Facebook groups tracking ICE & links to a database of agents that the government wants to keep secret.

Big Tech is enabling Trump's regime.

Reminded of what George Carlin once said on Charlie Rose:

"People who hate the government are involved in a form of suicide because government is self-government, and if you hate the government, you hate yourself."

She needs to touch grass.

It'll be a few days before enough ice melts that she can do so.
