I just wish that, in a year that is difficult and chaotic and we are all overwhelmed, folks could once and for all stop replying all unnecessarily.

I figured out a solution! There's probably better ones, but here's what I found: I created shortcuts using the auto spellcheck function. for example, I created an autocorrect CIT for "Needs citations", so in a comment I just type CIT and it automatically inserts the full thing. It's great.

Part of my sabbatical plans include creating ways to make my life easier when I go back to teaching full time. I wanted to create macros or something so I don't have to type my most-used comments over and over again when I'm reading student work. But it appears that macros don't work in comments?

The daytime won't be too bad, but it will be dipping below freezing at night, so plan accordingly if you're going out. It will not be the same beautiful weather we had last year...welcome to Minnesota!
