A striking example of an Overhead Ring Portal, glowing invitingly within a converted chapel in Amherst, Massachusetts. We lost several pieces of cutlery and some unfortunate condiments before weighing the rest of our table's place settings down with heavier objects.

The trio and our spouses and several close pals are having dinner tomorrow night. We do this annually, sometimes in the Fall, but sometimes just before Spring, like this weekend. Always an outstanding time, kind of a second Thanksgiving only better.

Been listening to The Kinks this afternoon. Time well spent.

My goal for this year's tax season was to finish getting the info together for our accountant before the end of February. It's a bit more complex than usual this year, but I'm done as of half an hour ago. Dropping it off tomorrow.

Today's rig was the Tele into the five watt tweed, with the three-pedal solo show board in between (tuner, verb, delay). Just the amp's natural breakup for a hint of dirt. Lovely.

Hells yeah, happy day to him. Loved (and still do) this band, and count myself extremely fortunate that I got to see them twice when two different tours brought them to New England. Jean-Jacques is a monster (the really good sort).
