Yeah, fair: and unlike a bus, you can get up and walk around, go to the dining or observation car, etc. I just know that by the end of the 32-hour ride, I was ready for it to be over. But I'm sure you'll be fine--just bring your favorite snacks and it'll be a super-comfy road trip!

I used to take the Coast Starlight all the way between Tacoma and LA back in the day, and it is gorgeous--but the full trip is /long/, especially if you just have a coach seat. I've always wanted to do it again with a room/roomette, but that's pricey. Regardless, enjoy the views if you go!

It's a beautiful train ride--but a long one, especially if you're in coach. Good luck either way!

A couple good points, but every time I read about the Dems "obsession" with identity politics, all I hear is, "Hey LGBT/women/PoC, you need to keep waiting your turn while we deal with white economic anxiety first." Biden was a good President who ran afoul of an anti-incumbent wave.

I've owned every Xbox console, and the 360 continues to be my favorite of the lot. What a time it was to be a console gamer.

And I still pop the disc in now and then! Not only does it have a great story and voice cast, but it does such a good job of establishing a nostalgic "old school television" experience--like WNUF but without going overboard on the commercials. I both can and can't believe the budget was so small!

As a chronic sufferer of what the kids call "executive dysfunction," I totally feel this: there's never a good reason for why I put things that will benefit me off, and yet...:p

The motorcycles especially looked /amazing/, and felt way more "real" than the light cycles of old. The Tron movies continue to be a playground for vehicle designers.

Ares instead of Tron? NiN instead of DP? No Sam & Quora? I was all set to write off #TronAres, but holy crap was I wrong. Leto was great (shut up, he was), as was Lee, the soundtrack rocked, great T and TL references--see this on a big screen (and with big speakers)

My practice board was a 4x4 post leftover from putting in a new mailbox. The chunks cut out were my attempts at a half-lap joint, which I cut out with a circular saw like a savage (because I was too impatient to borrow my friend's chop saw). This was a lot easier (and safer!).

In an effort to post something positive, I give you my inaugural miter saw cut. I just need to master this and a router and I'll be ready to build custom media storage furniture--how hard can it be? :D

No argument--as someone who had watched all the Bonds by that point, it was a perfect pastiche of their title songs, and while I don't remember a whole lot about Spy Hard, I remember a surprising amount of those lyrics!

Spy Hard was great for the Weird Al Bond-like theme song alone!

If nothing else, it's usually super crumbly--you could cut a piece but I can't imagine you'd get much to your mouth with a fork.

Agreed. We knew SCOTUS was pursuing a "unitary executive" policy, but I didn't expect Congress to give up its power so readily and so quickly. Hell, I didn't expect Rubio to contort himself into the shape he's in now, standing on the rubble of the USAID with that sickly smile on his face.
