what concerns me *now* is that the “lessons learned” seem to be all the wrong ones. that was the point of my post.

i cannot help that the democrats shot themselves in the feet in five zillion ways, from ousting joe too late to parading around liz cheney to (obviously) funding a genocide for a year leading up to the election. i did everything i could to push back on literally all of that.

i made a deliberate calculation as someone voting in washington state in a world where the electoral college exists. i will stand by that forever, i voted down ballot on everything that mattered, and kamala did not miss my vote one iota

Imagine you wake up and find you have cancer. It’s devastating to your body, your life. And at least twice a week, you see articles titled “The world has moved on from cancer.” When you go to doctors, they say, oh cancer? Have you tried SSRIs? Your friends occasionally ask if your cancer is better.

i literally walk into the doctors office looking like this and the girl who rooms me has the gall to ask “wait, so you really want me to put on an N95?”

like yeah i do expect you, person paid to be here, to at the bare minimum match my energy

there’s just still way too much “you guys should have been more comfortable supporting a candidate who was complicit in war crimes”

and not enough “the candidate should not have been complicit in war crimes”

anyway your favorite little artist shop is probably going to be forced to raise prices this year. it’s completely outside of their control, their margins probably weren’t all that cushy to begin with, and you should be nice to them about it.
