I’m just trying to stop the spread of misinformation. Here is the calendar from the SSA website. The ONLY thing paid on the 1st would be SSI, and that only if you also claim SSDI, which would then be distributed on the 3rd. So I’m guessing she is missing both?

I was unaware that those who started SS before 1997 are on a different payment schedule. Thank you for the clarification.

It’s the same payment schedule for retirees and those on SSDI disability. SSI is different, they might be referring to that. However, SSI is distributed on the 1st of the month, unless the 1st falls on the weekend, then it’s the Friday before.

Social security checks are issued on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday of the month, so I’m not sure how one would be missing on a Monday.
