The main DEI page from @agu.org has been modified to take diversity out of the title. Glad to see it's not deleted entirely, but hey AGU, we're watching what you do and remembering the big game you once talked about supporting your diverse membership.
Today vs. January

For anyone arguing that this isn't the same salute. Here is a side-by-side view. It's not just that the arm is extended outward. It's the entire movement of bringing the right hand to then extending the arm straight with the palm facing downward.
This is intentional.
Historian of fascism here. It was a Nazi salute and a very belligerent one too.

example code, chunk of MSNoise showing code written in 2017 and bug-fixed yesterday...
it takes 5 min to write a code... it takes years to find all bugs and edge-cases... #python @jetbrains.com #pycharm #MSNoise
(yes, I should/could use f-strings etc etc... but all that takes .. time!)
Ocean temperatures made hotter by human-caused climate change are fueling more intense Atlantic hurricanes.
A NEW Climate Central study: climate change increased the intensity for most 2019-2023 hurricanes & all (so far) in 2024.

Thanks! Am willing to bring more examples/interactions for the users, and a bit afraid that the loooong list of API defs would scare them, and it makes the documentation building a little more complicated too.

Hey #python and other #devs gurus: is splitting a large python API a good idea in general (and then importing sub-apis categories within that file?) e.g. github.com/ROBelgium/MS... is quite long and contains database, IO, etc... Any advice welcome

Some Friday afternoon "free time" work done on MSNoise! πThe test suite is now converted to pytest, and the github actions are now finally reruning the coverage tests too! I've added basic tests for msnoise admin! Now need to add more tests (AC & SC) and ideally run the examples too! π₯

14.11.2024 20:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do they use wire/saws in those? We might have that for some limestone quarries. If your quarry is close to the M7 on the eastern side, I recently learned about "long period" events that were actually quarry-related (discrete events, not continuous, AFAIR)
