Hopefully this means the small readership I have isn't bothered? Either way, I'm glad the chapter I'm working on has broken away from it, tho I think I might need to put a tw on it for the slightly horrorish content involving spider like aliens, and gruesome imagery.

Finding myself worried that the #writing of my last few chapters of salvagers plague have been more "slice of life" than sci fi adventure. Worried about too much melodrama maybe?

I don't get any feedback from readership other than my wife, who hasn't complained other than to scream in frustration

I just don't have the spoons to give a shit one way or the other. I don't hate the man, I don't even THINK of the man in my daily life. Father's Day comes around and I think of my grampa, and my stepfather. Dad doesn't even occur to me.

He was never there in my life, and so he's not in my mind

Just because you forgive someone, doesn't mean you accept their behavior. It doesn't mean you continue to let them hurt you. It doesn't mean you continue to make all the effort to have a relationship with them, only for them to do nothing at all.

Seems my dad posted one of my childhood pics on FB saying something about how he keeps praying for me to have forgiveness for him being a bad father.

and all I can think about is how I've been willing to forgive him for decades, and honestly had. but forgiveness is not acceptance.

my creativity finally seems to have rebounded after dealing with all the grief the last few months.
