My bill, HB 938 the PFAS monitoring bill has officially passed the House.
This legislation strengthens oversight of “forever chemicals” in our wastewater by requiring industrial users to conduct quarterly testing and report results — increasing transparency and accountability.

The goal is simple: identify gaps, remove barriers, and move critical healthcare projects forward faster — where they are needed most.

It also requires updated regulations to streamline expedited review for projects serving those communities.

My bill, HB 1337 passed the House!! Access to healthcare must be intentional and data-driven.
This legislation directs the State Health Services Plan Task Force to identify areas of Virginia with clear healthcare needs —

• A qualified human operator must be physically present and able to take control
• Civil penalties for violations
• Strong DMV oversight and annual reporting
Innovation matters — but public safety, accountability, and responsible implementation come first.

My bill, HB 1124 passed the House!! Autonomous vehicle technology is advancing — and Virginia is making sure safety keeps pace.
The House passed this bill 97–0 to ensure:
• All autonomous vehicles comply with federal safety standards
• No fully driverless commercial passenger or delivery operations

Employers who fail to comply may face civil penalties.
Everyone deserves to feel safe at work. This bill sets clear standards to protect employees and strengthen accountability in the workplace.

This legislation requires employers with 100+ employees to implement a formal workplace violence policy by January 1, 2027. That means:
✔️Clear reporting procedures
✔️Proper post-incident investigations
✔️Five-year record retention
✔️Protection from retaliation
✔️Civil immunity for employees who report

This is about protecting not just applicators, but neighbors, families, and workers who never consented to the risks. Virginia has an opportunity to lead by putting people first and preventing avoidable harm.

A major step forward for public health and environmental safety. HB 1375 bans the use of paraquat in Virginia—a toxic herbicide already banned in 70 countries—has advanced out of sub-committee.

Honored to present the Campbell’s Chapel AME Church resolution at the General Assembly. Located in Carrollton, VA, in Isle of Wight County, Campbell’s Chapel has been a pillar of faith, resilience, and community for 155 years. 🏛️🙏

Firearms are the leading cause of death for children—and that reality demands action. At a gun violence prevention conference, I reaffirmed my commitment to fighting for stronger gun safety policies and the funding needed to protect our young people and keep Virginia’s communities safe.
