I agree it needs rotating. My rotator was playing up and couldn't be bothered to go out in the cold and do it manually to get the framing right. It is a crop but I didn't rotate in pixinsight, well, not yet.

think I lost patience with GHS, for some reason the midtones were giving me a headache and it went down hill from there with my commitment, should have back stepped and cheated with statistical stretch. Would have probably been in a better head space when playing with some colour masks and curves

Thanks. Just really wasn't feeling it when processing it. I think the data is good but I've let it down. I'm sure there is so much more in there.

Pointed at the Andromeda Galaxy last night. The #touptek 585M does a great job and atm is my favourite camera but it needs to be paired with something wider than my 420mm triplet. I think an SQA55 or SV555 will be on my doorstep soon to do this camera justice. #astrophotography #space #andromeda

What a surprise. Trying out HDR mode on my #Touptek 585 mono and aimed at the squid nebula. Got 2 hours on each filter, Ha-Oiii-Sii and shocked with what I got. This is going to be my next project. I'll aim for 40ish hours with a bias towards the H and Oiii. #Astronomy #Astrophotography #Space

They are a newish Taiwanese company. Nico Carver reviewed it and it performed well against his Tak.Cuiv had a preproduction model and apart from pinched optics it looked good. It's f3.9 so it's gonna be hard to get ultra sharp but the extra speed might be nice and as you say, BXT can sort the rest.

I still find it shocking that the redcat star shapes are so bad that WO put in the literature that you have to use BXT with it.

that's what annoys me about the SQA too and that they make you buy the belt kit as an add-on to something that is designed as an astrograph so is almost definitely going to be used with an EAF. It is incredibly sharp though but the Draco comes very close to it for sharpness.
