I have not had a chance to explore Minneapolis, but I have noted when flying in and out (nice airport by the way), that it is a marvelously green city. The stats you provided earlier speak to that, but it also seems to be an abundance of street trees. Is that the case?

Agreed. If I had to live in a city, I would want it to be a place with as much nature and as pleasant a vibe as Portland.

I wondered what was happening last night. I saw large numbers of people walking in as I was leaving. Such an amazing place to have in your community.

Magical

Every City should have a park like Portland's Tabor Park. The park is located on an old cinder cone in SE Portland. The park has many trails leading up to the peak of the cinder cone and they all pass through amazing large trees like the ones show below. Perfect for a necessary infusion of nature.

Downtown Portland is framed by the large trees of Mt Tabor. It is slightly overcast and nearing sunset, giving the sky a slightly golden glow. The west hills are in the background behind the city's downtown area.

My big city escapade has been productive, but in the last two days I have filled my annual quota of human interaction. Accordingly, I ducked out early today to explore. This photo is of downtown Portland with the west hills in the background. Taken from the top of Mt Tabor (an amazing urban park).

It has been quite busy - great conversations today, but not much time to explore. I lived in Portland for a while (a long time ago), but have not been back for some time. Thank you for asking.

I had to winnow the selection down to four for the post, and eventually, I had to stop taking photos because I was not making progress towards my destination. The variety and colors were awesome.

Wiston is one of the best-preserved motte & bailey earthwork castles in Wales and was established here in Pembrokeshire by 1112, it was founded on an earlier Iron Age enclosure.
