Rebecca Littler Metcalf was born the same day the Declaration of Independence was signed.
Research has found her headstone was engraved incorrectly adding an "e" to the end of her last name.
She died in 1861.
Good morning everyone!
We will be closing our gates at noon today (July 4th) so our volunteers can spend their evening with family and friends. We will reopen at normal time Saturday morning.
We hope everyone has a happy and safe July 4th!
Join us for our July gravestone cleaning class. We will have a demonstration of cleaning stones, what products we use, and what supplies are needed. Then you get the opportunity to clean stones!
