Heretic

My word, what a film!

That melted welly of a man Piers Morgan show on youtube is 'GREAT'. He bares his, and many of his guests, fascist enabling asess in 4K.

Fascism *always* overreaches, and fails.

Again, don't let them forget where their bread was buttered when they thought this would be a forever thing.

What the hell, lol. Spineless. Totally SPINELESS.

What an insane lack of reading the room of THE WORLD by those 9. Utter shambles of an opposition at the moment.

To my American friends.

This will end. Fascists always overreach as they are fundamentally dumb.

Log who cheers this on, as the moment it fails they will try delete ever endorsing what is happening at the moment, or try and back track. Don't let them.

I post to to say @antonnewcombe.bsky.social and the rest of the band were INCREDIBLE last night.

Simply fantastic. What The Barrowlands was built for.

Nerd talk: The new laptop upgrade is heavenly. Cost a pretty penny but thing is three generations advanced from my previous.

165hz in motion is MENTAL. Never thought that sort of refresh bump would look like *that*. Windows 11 actually good as well 😲 Dolby Atmos that presents well 🀀

Mr @tim-burgess.bsky.social I guess I may as well ask:

What chance of some of the old school Listening Party vibes returning to this here platform? Early days and stuff for many, I know, but just thought I'd throw it out there πŸ™‚

All but set-up properly after a recent laptop upgrade.

Oh, is it nice to see so many familiar faces make the transition over πŸ™‚

Can only agree after a recent hardware upgrade 🀣

The Substance

Pretty immense stuff, really.

A throwback to 'plastic reality' 80's stuff but also has a fairly on the nose message, which isn't a problem. You can be very obvious with a message in a film but still contain depth in how you do it.

Watch 'Revenge'. Same director.

Tickets bought for Glasgow @antonnewcombe.bsky.social

Looking forward to it, man, and the new stuff with Dot, fellow Scot, is ❀️

If folk want a decent watch then I recommend Cuckoo.

It ranks up there with the best of "Just a *tiny* bit more exposition, please, then you would be great" fare, but it is actually pretty good.

That which could be considred 'Horror' is getting broader and weirder, and I for one am on board.

My feedback is that you and Dot, my fellow Scot, are an utterly fantastic duo and this sounds incredible. Lots of 'texture' to this ❀️

Hope you are well, Anton πŸ™‚

I'm not signing in enough on here, clearly (that will change!) πŸ˜€ Solid takes that I while I may disagree with, have nothing but respect for πŸ™‚

Cuckoo is alright, by the way. That is a proper cross genre attempt. Wee bit of Sci-Fi/Thriller/Horror.

Strange Darling is thus far my favourite film of this year, and maybe some others.

It is a truly uncomfortable watch in places, but if you like Tarantino and Coen Brothers stuff it is a must watch.

I thought The Bikeriders was brilliant, personally. Loved Civil War too. Yeah, it doesn't seem like it takes a side, but it does...and has an amazing soundtrack!

Recommend Strange Darling if you want a Tarantino-esque fix! Up there as my film of the year, easy.

Going to REBRAND on here and become an Eric Alper style account.

"Name one musician you think plays an instrument"

"If you had to see a band live via gunpoint that have since broken up, and are all dead, who is your favourite bass player?"

If there is one thing I hate, it is Elon Musk.

But...then...this little quiet alternative wouldn't exist.

Hmmmm...

Nope, I would still hate Elon Musk!
